Structural Needs of Your Used Trade Show Booth

When shopping for your used trade show booth, keep in mind what structural elements you need for the exhibit you plan to create. The size and type of your display are also important to consider.

Creative vision is an important skill when shopping for used booth components. Unless you plan on building a new structure, which is considerably more expensive, or renting a structure, you should be prepared to adapt the pre-owned exhibits you choose.

Here are things to keep in mind as you consider the used trade show booth displays you find:

  • Overall booth size and location. Will the structures you're considering fit the space well? If all sides will be seen, can each side be made to look attractive?

  • Display areas. Are there enough display pedestals, etc. for the items you need to display? And are these elements the right size, shape, and sturdiness for your needs? If you need electricity for them, can they be safely wired?

  • Graphics and signs. Are the graphic panels adequate for your needs - not too many nor too few? Are the size, shape, and placement of the graphic areas workable for your exhibit?

  • Condition of the used display. Is it in good enough condition to purchase? Can you re-skin or touch up any damaged areas? Or cover up any undesirable parts with fabric, graphics, or other elements?

  • Demonstration areas. If you'll be having a demonstration, can the pre-owned exhibit you're considering be configured adequately for it? You may need to consider lighting, table, graphics, microphones, seating, and tools or supplies used in the demonstration.

  • Shipping and storage. Can the used booth parts be stored and shipped without running over your budget?
